American "Pious" Pie

Well, the middle class is much poorer and many are now jobless; the national debt is higher than ever; we're in two wars with more on the way; we've lost over 1000 soldiers with seven times that number being wounded; and we've lost some important basic rights, BUT, at least there might not be any abortion and gay rights. Gee, thanks alot Christian America, for choosing Bush as "YOUR leader". Thanks for using your vote to judge your fellow Americans and the Bretheren according to their sex-life with your interpretation of the Bible. Your stance has authorized another four years of the most destructive and divisive administration of our lifetime.

Hey, I'm NOT for abortion and I'm not gay but according to the Good Book, I do not have the right to judge those who are pro-rights. How can someone else feel good about being God over another person anyway?

MANY just don't understand what they have done with their 2004 Presidential vote in my opinion. Those that DO realize, and voted strictly on the basis of their morals of anti-rights to choose, have chosen to be the God of the YOUR "bedroom" while sacrifing the common good of our country.

I feel like the nation has been hijacked by a right-wing Christian extremist ideology ... Christian Taliban if you will.

These neo-Pharisees of our day have spoken with their self-righteous vote. They know that the Bible says that they are sinners too, so, how can these Christian Taliban point their fingers of judgement at others while the Heavens are watching them as well??

Now that these American Pharisees have judged others with their vote, I wonder if they have put America under pending judgement from God for sacrificing the good of the nation as a whole for the judgement of their brothers?

I expect the present administration to do what they are doing BUT, I always thought that the majority of the peoples of this country were smarter and more merciful.

Do the Pharisees of our day think that smiting their neighbor with judgement (instead of mercy and understanding) will somehow raise them up in the eyes of God or those that they are trying to impress or even gain control of those that they are pointing the finger at??

It seems as if many in the "Divided States of America" are angry about something and full of venom...

In my opinion, many of these judgemental voters are hypocrites living in viper dens practicing churchianity who have splinters of self-righteous indignation in their own eyes while they point to the spec in another's eye. If they had their way, they would send those that use prophylactics to Gitmo Bay. They say abortion is ok in cases of rape but isn't the fetus of such still life? They "say" that they are pro-life but they are usually the first to vote in favor of the death penalty even though statistics prove that 7% of those on death-row are innocent!?

In these times, our salutations should be, "May God have MERCY on America", instead of "May God Bless America".
